Three Ways To Help Your Package Get To Your Customer On Time

Posted on

As a business owner, you want to make sure that your company is impressive to customers on every level. An impressive shopping experience, a great product, and quick shipping will help bring customers back time and time again. There is only so much that you can do in order to control the shipping process. Packing your products well and making sure they are padded correctly is one of those things. When it comes to making sure the package easily gets to the customers, there are a few processes that you can implement to help the post office.

Use printed shipping labels

One of the changes that you should make immediately is to use shipping labels that are printed. Though addressing your shipping labels in handwriting can seem most personal, it is better to use a printed label. Printed labels are easier to decipher so that there are no problems with determining the address. May printed shipping labels will also have a proper barcode so that the postal worker can scan the package no matter the condition of the rest of the label and get the product to the right person.

Make labels larger

All packages go through a number of different hands before they are provided to the customer. You want to make sure that everyone, including the customer, can properly ready the name and address on the label. Use a printed label that takes up the majority of the space on one side of the package or box. This will make it simpler for the final postal carrier to deliver the box to the individual. It will also be easier for anyone else who handles the package, such as an apartment office or a roommate to determine who the package is for.

Choose a bright secondary color

A bright shade splashed across the shipping label will make your business brand more identifiable. Most postal labels are white, which makes it easier for the scanner to pick up the barcode and easier to pick up the writing. Placing a little color in the form of a small logo or a stripe or two of color on all of your shipping labels will make it clear that the package originated from you. Your local postal workers will get to know the colorful packaging that you have and can easily and quickly return any packages that have an issue during their journey.
